Concrete Color Options

Selecting the right color product is one of the most important steps in any decorative concrete project. There are two main processes for applying color to concrete, Integral Color and Color Hardener. At HS Concrete Contracting we only use color hardener. Below are a few reasons why we feel Color Hardener is superior:

•  Color Hardner provides a much harder surface than integral color which increases the overall wearability of surface. Think of it as an M&M. The outer color shell is much harder than the chocolate on the inside.
• Color Hardner does not fade, and integral color does.
• Color Hardner provides brighter, crisp-looking color over integral color.
• Color Hardner decreases the amount of water intrusion into the concrete which is a necessity for Missouri’s freeze thaw cycle.
• Color Hardner takes much more skill and attention to detail than integral color.
